Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan played Sabse Smart Kaun and guess who was the WINNER?

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan have turned co-stars yet again! We are talking about their next film Kalank. The two have already kicked off the shoot for the said period drama in Mumbai but they were recently spotted together for yet another shoot! This wasn’t for another film or a brand endorsement but for a quiz show. The two Gen Y stars shot for an episode of a quiz show titled Sabse Smart Kaun hosted by popular TV actor Ravi Dubey.

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan were pitted against each other for the game show where they were supposed to solve the quizzes along with the two families they were supporting respectively. They were given some pictorial googlies in order to test their IQ on the show. During the same, the actress emerged as a winner by solving six out of nine brain teasers whereas Varun was able to complete only three.

In fact, sources close to the actress have stated in reports that Alia proved that she is smart and that bookish knowledge doesn’t matter. For the uninitiated, Alia Bhatt was trolled immensely online for her lack of general knowledge after she gave a wrong answer to the question on Koffee With Karan about the President Of India.

On the other hand, Varun Dhawan concluded the show on a philosophical note by appreciating the concept of the show. He reportedly said that for everyone who claims that they are inherently smart, this is the perfect platform to test that claim.

Kalank, which is directed by Abhishek Varman, also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. It features Kiara Advani, Kunal Kemmu among others too essay prominent roles in the said film. It is slated to release on April 19.

Here’s another Student Of The Year who is keen on establishing his name in the apparel arena. After Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan is keen on entering the fashion line and he has already taken his first step. How? Well, the actor’s brand Dhawan & Only is already available at stores and the sales have kicked off on a good note.

Considering that Varun Dhawan is a Gen Y star, his apparel brand too represents the youthful aura. The actor has confessed in reports that he was keen on starting the brand to connect with the youth. It is being said that he has found fans amongst his own group and Kalank co-star Alia Bhatt is one of them. The actress was once spotted sporting a tee from his brand that has gained popularity on social media.

Speaking on his new venture, Varun Dhawan confessed that this brand is his brainchild. Although he maintained that he doesn’t know much about entrepreneurship, he added that he has worked from scratch for this line. As of now, the apparels are available in solid colours with each of them having slogans on it.

Elaborating on the slogans, Varun mentioned that it isn’t really his musings as such but something that can resonate with the current generation. The actor also honestly stated that he also has a team looking it and the idea is to keep it simple since that will have more connect. However, he was quick to add that the slogans are indeed his!

On the other hand, Varun Dhawan also stated that his collection is little and few. The Gen Y superstar believes that he wants to sell the clothing line on merit. If it succeeds, he will extend the brand further with more additions to the collection. He is, however, happy to see the positive his brand has been receiving by far.

The said collection of Dhawan & Only is available at FBB [Fashion Big Bazaar] outlets in metropolitan cities. Interestingly, Varun himself endorses FBB as he is the brand face of the men’s collection.

This video of Varun Dhawan gets massively TROLLED for recreating Daisy Shah’s ‘None of Your Business’ DIALOGUE from Race 3!

Race 3 has been taking the internet by a storm but probably not for the right reasons. The film has become a victim of social media trolls with many criticizing it for its over-the-top dialogues and larger-than-life action scenes of Salman Khan. One amongst them that has created a furor is “Our Business is Our Business, None of Your Business” which was mouthed by Daisy Shah, in the film’s trailer. While she got trolled massively for it, when Varun Dhawan decided to recreate it, he too witnessed a similar fate.

With the latest trend of actors supporting their colleagues’ upcoming films as a part of its promotions, Varun Dhawan decided to do the same for Race 3. Considering his great camaraderie with superstar Salman Khan and director of the film Remo D’Souza, it was quite obvious that the Gen Y superstar would definitely come out in support of the film.

Owing to the constant trolls about the ‘None Of Your Business’, the makers decided to make a spoof out of the same. However, it seems that their attempt massively backfired. Remo D’Souza posted the video of Varun and him recreating the dialogue on his Instagram page. However, he definitely wouldn’t have expected the comments that followed.
While some claimed that the dialogue has become a bigger hit than the film’s trailer itself, a few others maintained that they are just trying to save their face from the constant trolls by responding to it in this manner. Here are glimpses of the comments that followed after the video was posted.

It seems that the makers have a long way to go before this dialogue is erased off. Let’s hope, followed by the amount of trolls, the adage any publicity is good publicity stands true for the film when it releases!
